Instead of the kayak, we surf fish for sharks today. Hunter reels in a nice Bull Shark and releases it. Just another day at the beach for us.
Hunter gets to go behind the scenes and learn about all the work that goes into taking care of our oceans creatures.
Hunter continues his quest for a record gar. He gets to meet Sonja from the Sea Shepherds team and gives his input on the current state of Paul Watson and his shark finning episode. We make a lot of friends today and have fun paddling the bayou.
“SharkboyHunter” finally gets to experience the beauty of a BIG gar. Listen to what he tells the gar when he gets it beside the kayak.
Hunter is passionate about saving the declining shark population. His facts are not always correct but you can see his emotions. His dolphin rant is funny. His love for marine creatures is evident.
Hunter catches a nice stingray from the kayak and feels sorry for it because someone cut its tail off. We also film a nice jump during the fight. My son has a passion for helping all sorts of animals. He gives the ray a kiss before he sets it free.
Here is the shark video that made the recent national news. It is my son, aka sharkboy, catching a 4-5 Blacktip shark out of our kayak. There is a large community of fisherman that fish beyond the breakers so we are not the only crazy Texans.
It’s about making memories that last a lifetime. Some of my fondest memories as a child were fishing at San Luis Pass.
